Danish Mid-Century Modern Asymmetrical Teak Desk, 1950s. The knee space has a width of 49 cm and a height of 74 cm. Rare and early freestanding Scandinavian Modern boomerang teak writing desk made in Denmark in the early 1950s. Asymmetrical table top and slanting drawer module front sets this desk apart from the more traditional Danish desks. Impressive craftsmanship and an abundance of beautiful details as wide sculpted organic drawer pulls and hand cut half blind dovetail joints. Plenty of storage space in the five drawers and two cabinets. One cabinet has a revolving door with round shelf and original patinated mirror. Wide bookshelf between the cabinets adds to the storage space. Beautiful warm and rich color in the bookmatched teak veneer. Round tapering legs in sturdy solid oak. Elegant and stylish desk that, despite the many features, won't take up much space. Exquisite Danish Modern design.
