Mid-Century Modern Danish Teak Desk From Domino Møbler, 1960s

Chairish

$1,221

Danish Teak Desk by Domino Møbler, 1960s This elegant teak desk was produced in Denmark in the 1960s by Domino Møbler. A refined example of Scandinavian modernism, it combines clean architectural lines with thoughtful functionality. Crafted from solid teak with a warm honey-brown tone and beautifully figured grain, the desk features a simple rectangular top supported by slender legs and a clearly defined frame. Its proportions are balanced and understated — a design where structure and function work in perfect harmony. This particular version offers three drawers on the left and one deep drawer on the right. The right-hand drawer is visually divided to resemble three separate drawers, while in fact forming one spacious compartment — ideal for files, larger documents or office organizers. A clever functional detail hidden behind a rhythmic façade. The cubic wooden handles enhance the geometric character of the piece, while the subtle lock detail adds a distinguished, executive touch. The back is fully finished, allowing the desk to stand freely in the room. Domino Møbler was one of the Danish workshops active during the golden era of mid-century design, known for quality craftsmanship, noble materials and flexible configurations often tailored to client needs. The desk is in very good condition and has been refreshed with a professional teak oil treatment. Dimensions: Height: 73 cm Width: 135 cm Depth: 60 cm A versatile piece that works beautifully in a mid-century home office, a minimalist interior with light walls and natural materials, or as a calm and elegant focal point in a more classic setting. Placed centrally, it functions perfectly as a freestanding desk, structuring and elevating the space.
