The Private Desk from GUBI draws its structural logic from traditional Japanese joinery, with an oak-veneered top supported by two vertical legs held together by a single horizontal crossbeam. Designed by Space Copenhagen, the construction achieves a sturdy stance while keeping the overall form open and unimposing. The desk functions equally well as a workspace and as a console, a dual-purpose quality that is built into the design rather than incidental to it. The oak veneer finish gives the piece a refined, consistent material character throughout.
