Taking inspiration from the conceptual forms of Hiroshi Sugimoto, the Segment desk by Brooklyn designer David Vu starts with the exploration of simple geometric volumes. With the use of minimal gestures of cuts and rotations the aim is to create a functional, sculptural form. The wood is carefully painted in layers of oil glaze to achieve a subtly textured and variegated surface.Custom sizes, materials, and finishes available upon request.
