Small scale Victorian style twin pedestal writing desk in mahogany with a dark finish. Charming traditional dark brass round drawer pulls.Constructed in the early '40's. These desks were originally popular during the 19th & early 20th century before being reproduced in the 1940's.Crafted from high-quality mahogany panels & veneers, the desk is solid & sturdy, The dovetail joinery is in excellent condition. A pedestal desk, often referred to as a kneehole desk has a large flat surface supported by cabinets on each side.This desk has are three drawers on each side with a central drawer above the leg space. There are three inset leather panels for a perfect writing surface.
