A smart and very well made antique William IV leather top desk / writing table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1840 period. This is of wonderful quality, it sits on beautifully turned solid legs terminating in brass casters. The two drawers also have beautifully turned handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The inset leather top is hand coloured and tooled round the edges. This has a nicely finished back so can be used as a free standing item. We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some normal age related wear and patina here and there beneath the polish.
