Having a circular tabletop with molded edge and decorative carvings to the reverse, held by a slide, hinge and removeable wooden pin mechanism to the bench base. The simple mechanism is a great design that keeps the top sturdy in both positions, yet remains easy to operate. The tabletop forming a back to the bench/chair when tilted and can easily remove for storage. Having flat armrests, plank seat, turned legs, and a shoe base. A wonderful combination of period Arts & Crafts and Jacobean style. Having a rich antique wood tone, attractive figured, tiger (quartersawn) grain patterns add to the character and charm.
