Bench #6 from Series #2 is designed to be at home alongside of a dining table. The seat of the bench has just enough curvature to it to allow for as much comfort as a wooden bench can have. Because of the slight gap between the two boards that make up the seat, this bench can even shed water when finished for outdoor use. The wooden seat and stretchers are enlivened with the characteristic asymmetrical shaping and fascinating that Nico Yektai is known for. The cast concrete legs open been in on the action with the unusual detailing and the enlivened transition to the floor.
