Each chair is fitted with a circular upholstered seat cushion in black vinyl.The wire frame construction places these chairs within a broader mid-century design movement that included contemporaries such as Harry Bertoia's Diamond Chair (Knoll, 1952) and Verner Panton's wire furniture of the same period. Dahlén's design shares the same formal logic — using bent and welded wire to define volume and silhouette with minimal material — while arriving at a distinctly Scandinavian resolution in the swivel base and overall proportions.The four-star swivel base allows 360-degree rotation and provides a stable footprint suitable for dining use. The chairs are stackable, which is unusual for swivel chairs of this type and adds to their practicality.All eight chairs are present and structurally sound. The chrome shows age-appropriate patina consistent with their period. Seat cushions are original and show light wear. One chair is missing a black plastic cap as pictured which can be replaced.
