Vaarnii's Maasto dining chair captivates its stripped-down, almost brutal appearance, where Finnish pine plays the leading role –  as is typical of Vaarnii's furniture. The minimalist chair consists of a pine veneer frame combined with a sturdy seat and backrest, both made of solid pine. Designed by Ronan Bouroullec, the shape of the Maasto chair might be straightforward, but pine's diverse wood grain patterns lend it a captivating, varied look.
