This is a Saarinen Executive Arm Chair, originally designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1950. These examples were produced in the 1960s. Their design features legs of polished tubular stainless steel with an upholstered seat and back in blue fabric. These chairs came from the IBM Headquarters in Armonk, which was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM) Architects, under project lead Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen likely leading the interiors.The listed price includes one chair and there are 8 available to purchase.These examples were reupholstered in 1988. We have a group of blue examples. If you need an exact color match, let us know how many and we will get photos of the best matching group.Each chair measures 24.25 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high, with a seat height of 18 inches. These pieces show wear from previous use, including minor scuffs, surface blemishes, and discoloration. Overall, the chairs are in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
