Stephane Lebrun, architect and himself a cabinetmaker, wanted this collection to be made using the traditional solid wood assembly techniques, and to feature them prominently. Numerically controlled machines now make it possible to reproduce these methods and to further enhance them. As if drawn with a single pencil stroke, the solid oak Assemblage chair combines the fluidity of the full and loose lines with the knowledge of cabinet making.
