Iconic Lollipop dining chairs produced by Tatra company in Czechoslovakia, circa 1960. Designed by Frantisek Jirak in the shape of a flat lollipop which was popular in the Czechoslovakia in 1960s. Backrest is in walnut veneer with shiny lacquered finish, wooden base in dark palisander color, original upholstery in red color. The chairs are in very good condition, only the fabric on the seats shows some wear. Otherwise the chair are very strong and in very good condition. The veneer on the backrests shows beautiful wood. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
