Ekstremtm Chair – Grey Violet

An extremely creative take of chair design, Ekstrem™ looks like a sculpture and art object but also redefines the simple gesture of taking a seat. Industrial designer Terje Ekstrøm created this unusual chair in 1984, with Ekstrem™ becoming one of Norway’s first examples of postmodern design. The unconventional silhouette with tubular elements allows users to sit in different positions and atypical ways. For example, you can sit with the back resting on the chair, sideways with the legs propped up on the armrests, or even backwards. Made with a steel frame, Ekstrem™ features a tubular foam filling that provides comfortable support.
