This incredibly rare single owner, set of five Vernor Panton dining chairs were purchased brand new in 2001 from San Francisco renowned design store called Unica. Unica in San Francisco was one of the premier retailers of contemporary European design, and they often carried exclusive Vitra pieces. I am currently verifying this with the Vitra headwaters in Germany. All five are authentic Vitra Panton Chairs from week 22 of 2001. All five are the same uncommon hot-pink color. The original Vitra labels remain intact, which is excellent provenance. It is thought that these were a special custom order and color made in limited numbers for Unica in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness week. I am currently verifying this with the Vitra factory.
