The Frame dining chair arose from the idea of designing a chair like you construct a small building. Strongly inspired by the stringent outline of the scaf folding around buildings in the Chinese cities. The lines of the outer frame are horizontal and vertical, complementing the soft upholster y. While the sleek backrest and seat are designed to follow the human body, which provides a comfor table seating experience and contributes with sof tness to the ambience. Founded in Hangzhou in the summer of 2014, Mario Tsai Studio is a research-based practice that prices itself on innovative thinking to produce sustainable design. Unconstrained by conventional methods, in whatever industry or culture it works in, the studio uses rigorous logic coupled with a fluid sense of artistry to present the works, whether in the form of products, installations, strategies or exhibitions.
