Lensvelt Pha201 Chair

The Aluminium collection by Piet Hein Eek, designed in the nineties, is made of folden aluminimum plate. Piece de resistance is the Aluminimum chair which was used in the interior design of the Dutch Design Cafe at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Shelves Cabinets, a trolley and the chairs and tables of this collection are put together with bolds, sediments and nails. An unknown construction technique in the project market. Through the recent cooperation with Lensvelt the Aluminimum collection can be produced in large numbers. To improve the comfort Eek designed a variant to the ‘straight’ aluminium chair.With this variant the seating and back are a little hollow.
