Medea Chairs In Beechwood With Emerald Green Cushions By Vittorio Nobili For Fratelli Tagliabue, Italy, 1956, Set Of 6

Chairish

$15,927

Set of six Medea chairs designed by Vittorio Nobili for Fratelli Tagliabue in 1956. These iconic chairs are made of beech plywood with a distinctive teardrop-shaped backrest and elegant black lacquered steel legs. The sculptural shell, created by a single curved veneer, perfectly expresses the innovation of Italian design in the 1950s. Each chair has been carefully preserved in excellent vintage condition, showing only minor signs of age consistent with use. The seats are fitted with custom-made emerald green cotton cushions, crafted in Italy to replicate the original proportions and comfort of Nobili’s design, adding a refined touch and enhanced seating experience. A timeless symbol of mid-century Italian craftsmanship, these chairs are both sculptural and functional — ideal for dining rooms, design studios, or collectors of historical furniture. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
