Rare set of 4 elegantly styled Danish Modern mid-century chairs. Nice clean shape considering the age. One chair has a slight chip in one slat (see pics). The white nylon/plastic circular buttons holding the chrome frame to the under-brace are classic hallmarks of early, original production runs.Early Vintage Era (Late 1950s – 1970s): Original pieces manufactured by Hove Møbler used this exact configuration of white rubber/plastic spacers and metallic rivets to cushion the tension between the curved rosewood slats and the tubular steel base. The Frame Construction: The continuous chrome wire frame looping cleanly through these grommets strongly suggests this is a Scandia Junior chair (model without arms) or a Scandia dining chair. The last photo shows the outline of a label on the underside of the seat on one of the middle slats. Even though the label is long gone - it is the same rectangular shape as the original label from Norway that was on these chairs when new. The labels have all disappeared over time.
