Schreiber was one of Britain’s most successful furniture manufacturers during the 1960s and 1970s. By offering well-designed furniture at affordable prices, the company appealed to a broad mass market. Its designs drew heavily on the Scandinavian aesthetic of the period. Far from feeling “budget”, Schreiber furniture embodied the same minimalism and understated elegance that made Scandinavian design so influential during the Mid-Century era. This set comprises four Schreiber dining chairs. They feature a distinctive three-rung backrest and have been reupholstered in new vinyl leatherette to match the material originally specified by Schreiber.
