This Classic Jasper Morrison Chair was designed 1988/1989 “Some New Items for the Home, Part I” at the DAAD gallery, in Berlin. In 1989, the Plywood Chair became the first of Jasper’s designs to be produced by Vitra. That year he pointed out to French magazine Intramuros that the chair’s ‘structure is extremely simple. It brings absolutely nothing new to the infinity of existing chairs.’ But the curved sheet of wood for the seat ‘is an interesting detail. Empty, the chair is straight, but when you sit down, it bends.’ This is the Second Edition from 2009. We have here the iconic open backversion in a set of 8. 6 chairs are in a very good near mint condition 2 chairs was often used and have some signs of wear. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
