A retro, Belle Époque spirit pervades the workshop\. This series of three No. 14 bistro chairs, icons of the early days of industrial design, exudes a light elegance. Coming from the famous Austrian bentwood manufacturer "Fischel," they have certainly spent part of their lives in a café, bistro, or tea room. We love their voluptuous, minimalist, yet obviously warm shapes. Made of bentwood (beech), the double-curved backrest creates a modern, light, and dynamic design. The chairs are lightweight, stable, and comfortable. They are hand-caned. Light signs of wear are visible. The Fischel labels are still present under the seats. These are old ladies, with a lovely history and will tolerate moderate or decorative use.
