He was best known for his sculptural chair designs and for using the finest materials. The model 78 chair is his most famous. It shows best in the rich, deep brown color of rosewood, offset perfectly by the light tone of natural Danish cord. Due to its scarcity since the 1960’s, Brazilian rosewood is hardly ever used in modern furniture, making chairs such as these collectors’ items.
