Magnificent set of four dining chairs made in the French Louis XIII and French Louis XIV transitional taste. Featuring a dramatic Fortuny style upholstery with an urn motif in a bold citron-yellow silk style fabric. The bases feature an X-form stretcher that conjoins the turned column style legs. The finish is decorated with parcel gilt accents. The generous seats have large, flared backs with a humped crest on the tops. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship from Italy.
