The Vitra Standard Dining Chair is Jean Prouve 101. While certainly a distinctive aesthetic, the lengthy wedge-shaped sheet steel back legs were designed to bear the full weight of a sitter's body. Meanwhile, tubular steel is enough to support the front of the chair. The modern industrial look--and comfort--of this chair is completed by a curved oak wood seat and back.
