A CHAIR was designed by Xavier Pauchard in 1934.‎ It is an iconic piece of furniture, which has made the history of design with its highly recognizable industrial style, which has spanned the decades and has also stood the test of numerous replicas.‎The designer, Xavier Pauchard, is also the founder of the Tolix brand, which still produces the original A chair.‎ His background is not that of an architect, but that of a metalworker: in a historical moment in which almost all chairs produced were made of wood, chooses to open a small business, dedicated to the production of metal chairs, armchairs, stools and furniture.‎ He studied the possibilities linked to galvanization and discovered, as early as 1907, that it is possible to protect the sheet by immersing it in molten zinc.‎The first customers are in the professional sector, his chairs furnish factories, offices and hospitals, but soon they begin to be widespread also in the terraces of cafes.‎ Chair A is comfortable and practical, light and stackable, made of galvanized steel sheet.‎ - Finish: Raw painted- Color: Glossy paint- Use: For indoors
