Trampoline Chair

Patricia Urquiola designs a novel outdoor dining duo that completes the unmistakable Trampoline collection.‎ The playful spirit and rounded contours of the collection reappear in two new products, a table and a chair, designed to blend seamlessly with a variety of outdoor settings, from gardens immersed in nature to city terraces, between the light and shadows cast by the sun.‎ The Trampoline Chair also features an interplay of shapes, materials and colours, recalling the same shades found in Mediterranean landscapes, also associated with the weaves and patterns available for its upholstery.‎ Its distinctive structure, punctuated by tubular aluminium, welcomes two removable cushions for the seat and backrest.‎ Their soft padding, protected by water-repellent fabric, is made of recycled PET fibre wadding and polyurethane foam.‎ An architectural gem, the Trampoline Chair comes in two versions: the first picks up the common thread of the entire collection with the backrest in hand-woven polypropylene and nylon cord; the second is portrayed by the minimalist charm of the exposed metal structure.‎ While in the version with the woven backrest the soft cushions can be freely arranged, in the latter, they are connected to one another by a zipper and attached to the tubular frame with fabric strips and brass buttons.‎Materials:Powder-coated aluminum frame for outdoor use in mud, ivory, and terracotta colors;Cushions in polyurethane foam, covered with soft padding in recycled PET fiber and water-repellent polyester fabric;Handwoven backrest with Mamba and Taipan rope in polypropylene and nylon for outdoor use.‎Patricia Urquiola interprets the joy of open-air living with a playful design in her outdoor collection, filled with soft, curvy shapes, it takes a sensible approach to the environment by using innovative, sustainable materials, completely Made in Italy.‎ The backrest features a handcrafted polypropylene and nylon woven cord while the backrest and seat cushions are in 100% PET-derived recycled fiber and upholstered in water-repellent polyester fabric.‎ Optional fringe on the cushions is in the same shade as the cord.‎
