1950's pel - cox tubular metal outdoor dining chairs with blue seats. Set of six. one of the all time classic british chairs inspired by the contemporary designs of bauhaus. The most famous producer in england was pel, but several other manufacturers produced the same design. These chairs were originally made with canvas slings which rotted many years ago and we have simply salvaged the original elegant frames, and in our own workshops fitted them with custom made sheet aluminium seats and backs, powder-coated blue. A contemporary way to save beautiful original frames. The original pel frames have been cleaned and protected with wax and the aluminium seats will last outdoors in perpetuity. Please note the painted surface is durable, but as shown will damage when stacked as has occurred in our warehouse and you will receive chairs with marks. seat height 45cm. workshop report: our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life.
