We are offering a 1970s version of the tulip from a berlin architect's household. The seat cover was renewed by our upholsterer based on the original. The piece has been preserved quite well thanks to careful handling. There is a small edge damage at the top of the seat shell and at the bottom of the base. Designed in 1956, saarinen wanted to do away with the tangle of legs on chairs and opted for a central, smooth, trumpet-shaped base. The chair, also available with armrests and fully upholstered, has been used as a decorative piece in many films and is considered a design icon.
