Rare vintage 1920s Thonet Bentwood accent or dining chair. Made in Vienna. Solid dark chocolate toned wood with swirled design on the seat and shapely rungs on the back. Rustic classic and perfect to mix with other chairs around a farm table. Beautiful construction and many years of stories to tell. J & J Kohn were leading furniture makers in Austria from the mid 19th century to early 20th century, and worked closely with artists in the Wiener Workstatte and were leading competitors of Thonet. They merged with Mundus in 1914 and then with Thonet in 1921. Chair dating 1867 - 1914.
