Here is a beautiful, early "Straight Chair" by George Nakashima. "Introduced in 1946, the Straight Chair is George Nakashima’s modernist interpretation of the traditional Windsor chair." The now iconic design features a spindle back, carved seat and Nakashima's signature splayed legs. This example previously donned a failing paint job, so it's been freshly refinished in black lacquer and is looking very sharp!
