This beautiful table and six chairs has been part of our family since 1953. The most recent celebration was my sister's 50th wedding anniversary three years ago. She is part of the third generation to gather around this table. It was a thrill for all of us to include the 4th and 5th generation at the table for great food, games and conversation! It brought back many happy memories for all of us of holidays and special occasions spent with this table as the centerpiece. I'm not certain what type of wood from which it is constructed but possibly cherry. It originally belonged to my great aunt who bought it to put in her home at the lake when they sold the ranch. This item includes the table, three table leaves and one captain's chair and five armless chairs. Change is difficult and we are finally at the point where we need to part with this furniture to make way for the future and the needs of the next generation. I have tried to photograph the flaws that are part of this table. It has been used but is a fine piece of furniture which folds into a drop leaf table which measures 42 inches wide, 29 inches high and 64 inches long and extends to 100 inches long with 3 leaves inserted. The chairs including 1 captain's chair have seats 18 inches, backs 16 inches and arms 9 1/2 inches.
