These postmodern rubber armchairs by Brian Kane for Metropolitan Furniture Company (later purchased by Steelcase) are made of black steel encased in EPDM rubber tubing with lacquered maple seats. Designed by Brian Kane in 1983, the Rubber Chair has received numerous awards for its innovation.
