Complete Set Of Twelve French 19th Century Neoclassical Style Dining Chairs

A most handsome and complete set of twelve French 19th century Neoclassical style Mahogany, Giltwood and Ormolu dining chairs. The set of dining chairs consists of ten side chairs and two armchairs, all being supported by gently curved tapered legs with an elegant scroll on the back side. The legs lead up to the solid Mahogany aprons with wonderful Ormolu rosettes at each corner and below Giltwood dolphins on the side chairs, and large scale Giltwood swans on the armchairs. The armchairs display robust solid Mahogany arms leading to the backrest having a smooth, square and consistent frame ending with a scrolled rail at the top. The symmetrically designed tops of the Mahogany backrest all showcase wonderful scrolled carvings and are centered by Ormolu rosettes flanked by elegant scrolled Ormolu movements ending with a flower.
