The Eclectica collection is a group of Biedermeier chairs offered in various way. Here offered in a selected set of 8 chairs each in a different style. The chairs are made from precious solid Italian walnut wood. The ebonized finish is attained by stained black and finished with shellac applied by hand using the French polish method for a warm, smooth and glossy finish. Each chair features a boxed seat, padded with a firm T35 foam base and a softer top layer for comfort. The seat is finished with neat piping and upholstered in a corduroy-style velvet from Alessandro Bini, matched with plain velvet in the same color for the piping. Shown here in a warm coffee tone, the fabric creates a beautiful contrast with the ebonized wood frame. This is a truly unique set — perfect for someone who wants their home to feel personal and full of character. Just as no two guests are the same, each chair in this set is different, making every seat special.Listed measure is the first one on the left of the upper row. For each measure please inquiry or look on the individual chair listing.Biedermeier has a growing success. It was an early approach to modern furniture. It was the first style to prioritize comfort through curved forms and lumbar support, rather than just thick padding. These chairs feel more modern than earlier styles like Louis XVI or Empire. For this reason the name was read between the lines "not named after a king" like any furniture style before. It represented a fresh, modern approach embraced by a new wealthy class outside the aristocracy — like calling a chair "Mr. So-and-So" to make clear that this style didn’t come from royal courts, but from the new mansions and emerging design culture of the time. Unlike earlier styles shaped for palaces like Versailles and adopted by nobles, Biedermeier design began in private mansions and reflected a individual, forward-thinking way of living. This explain the modernity and its appeal on contemporary interior design.
