An early 18th century English oak gateleg table, the oval top with shallow ogee edge, the base with single drawer over balustrade turned legs with original bun feet and joined by molded stretcher, the whole with even mellow dark color. The gateleg form is very useful as the table can be folded up against a wall when not in use and turned readily back into a full dining table when needed or even used with one leaf out as a console table. 40" depth closed 19" open 55"
