1970's expandible dining table with one leaf and a propeller base. The white laminate tabletop is rimmed by black plastic that helps to prevent wear. The round tabletop sits on two chrome metal and black-painted propeller feet. The tabletop opens to a "racetrack" shape when the leaf is in place. Metal glides designed by the Walter Company of Wabash are located underneath the tabletop to slide it to insert the leaf. The flexible table design is great for everyday use, as well as expansion to a larger, more formal configuration for holidays and dinner parties. The table also is an excellent WFH workspace or conference room table. The table is very sturdy and has minor scruffs and pitting consistent with its age and use. No maker's mark was found on the table. Corporate information reports that the Walter Company glides were used extensively in the 1960s and 1970s by many well-known furniture makers. Dimensions: round table (96" W X 96" D X 29" H); leaf (24" W X 29" H); racetrack-shaped table (108" W X 48" H X 29" H.
