Antique 19th century Biedermeier period drop leaf walnut table of German or Austrian origin. The table top is connected to the round pedestal that is attached to the shaped rectangular base which is supported by four short legs ending in animal claws or hooves. The table’s surface has large rectangular parquetry design and inlaid ebony trim around its edge, the table’s skirt is decorated with an inlaid fan design. There are some crevices in the wood that are appropriate with age, this table is in very good condition for its age and it is structurally sound. German.
