The top is made of two hinged planks that rotate and slide to one side and then unfolds. When closed, it can function as a console, writing desk, or small breakfast table and when fully extended, it can accommodate 8 to 10 guests. The base has a large drawer with an iron ring pull and is perfect for storing silverware and table linens. Sturdy curved legs ending in carved hoof feet. Good craftsmanship using pegged construction.
