fine quality dropleaf table from the end of the chippendale period circa 1780. solid mahogany top which forms a near circle when opened out. swing out legs each side provide support the leaves for it to perform as an occasional dining table. beautifully carved cabriole legs with a deep acanthus leaf on the knee, finishing with a ball and claw foot. rich colour and patina, recently re-polished in our workshop. expected minor surface marks in line with age and use, ready for everyday use in the home. depth leaves down: 18 1/2"
