VERY long and VERY slender with its leaves down, the table has an elegant, understated profile that makes it easy to place in a hallway, dining room, or behind a sofa. With the drop leaves extended, it opens into a large sized oval table, (approx. 7.5 ft x 5 ft), perfect for large gatherings and entertaining. Another design feature, the dual supporting gates for the leaves open towards the center, which allows for much more leg/chair room than a traditional drop leaf table. Extremely versatile, and always a conversation starter, as most don’t know why they were known as a “wake” table or “hunt” table!!! The table is solid oak, and the original finish has been beautifully bleached to highlight the natural oak wood grain and to perfectly compliment any European décor.
