An incredible 20th century rustic industrial style repurposed dining table - kitchen island. Crafted from a heavy-duty utilitarian cast iron American factory - warehouse trolley base, circa 1940, with four solid cast iron wheels and cutout windows displaying the old steel screw element, topped with a substantial 94.5 inch iron and pine plank boarded top. The top is 2 inches thick and is reclaimed from two cargo hold transom covers conjoined into one long tabletop that attaches to the base via a custom made support. The rustic iron has a heavily patinated finish with remnants of the original green paint finish. An unusual conversation piece. Amazing scale and profile with a beautifully aged warm rustic distressed finish. Dimensions: (approx) 31" High, 94.5" Wide, 39" Deep Beautifully aged warm rustic distressed patina, with scattered oxidation. Wear consistent with age and indicative of industrial use, including heavily worn, weathered, and patinated finish, slight sagging to the ends, and typical expected signs of age appropriate wear.
