Exceptional 16th-century Italian Renaissance walnut table, known as a "tavolo ad asso di coppe," meaning "ace table." This unique table features a superb base with a central ace decorated with foliage. The base is carved at both the top and bottom, reminiscent of lace or scales (our first in 50 years). The base is connected by a wooden stretcher with a coat of arms at its center. It boasts a magnificent tabletop, 89 cm wide and thick, also featuring carved lacework. Beautiful patina. The table is in excellent condition and has a superb patina. Museum quality piece.
