Monumental bamboo and laced rawhide pedestal base dining table by McGuire from the 1980s. The beveled glass top measures 92" x 54", accommodating 8 guests comfortably and up to 10 as needed. The hexagonal base is constructed from a steel core clad in McGuire’s signature combination of bamboo and rawhide leather. The result is a foundation strong enough to support a massive, 0.75 inch thick tempered glass dining surface that maintains the light, airy aesthetic of California coastal style. The tabletop is in excellent condition with not a single chip or crack despite 40 years of use. The base is perfectly intact, with neither loose rawhide nor noteworthy cosmetic issues. Though the table is unmarked, we are certain of its authenticity. It was sourced from a Beverly Hills estate along with a labeled set of McGuire Antalya dining chairs.
