A masterful statement piece from the 1980s, this authentic Maitland-Smith dining or center table exemplifies the brand's signature blend of organic materials and neoclassical architecture. The oval tabletop features an intricate sunburst pattern meticulously hand-inlaid with tessellated coconut shell (penshell). The shell fragments are arranged in radial segments separated by contrasting pinstriping. The edge of the table is scalloped adding dramatic dimension. The trestle base is anchored by fluted, bronze colored metal legs with stone ball details. Table is in excellent condition with only minimal signs of age and use. There are a couple very small edge chips as pictured.
