Custom built by us as a "spec" piece. Solid pine round table is 40 inches diameter with a rustic, "faux antique" painted finish. The pine wood has been eroded so that the grain is more prominent, and multiple layers of casein paint were applied, ending in a solid layer of almond colored paint. This paint has deliberate chips, cracks, and dings along with areas partially rubbed off, to suggest that the piece received wear from years of age. On top of the final layer of paint are several penetrating coats of Waterlox brand resin, which stabilizes and smooths the paint layers and gives a more water-resistant, easy-to-clean and durable finish. It was built and finished by us. We build custom furniture in Portland Oregon, and this piece was made on spec. It is a curious combination of a more contemporary style, designed by me, Suzanne Bonham - and a rustic finish. Disassembles easily for transport if desired. Is held together with all-thread. Sturdy and of high quality.
