A Very Fine Antique Philadelphia Sheraton Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Table, Circa 1810s Made in Philadelphia or the area surrounding circa 1805-1815 This table is a "Downtown Philadelphia" table. Meaning, the finely figured mahogany top was made for someone special, and the extra cost involved in finding the figured grained wood. Expense was not spared. The turned legs are similar to the Haines-Connelly workshop in Philadelphia Fine figured mahogany top, with a French polished surface. Nice long deep leaves, and reeded turned legs. Mahogany, white pine, and oak secondary woods. Size: 47 3/4" wide, and 22 1/2" deep closed, 2 leaves at 22 1/2, and 29" tall. Fully opened the table measures 66” by 48” Big enough to seat 6. Condition: Excellent overall condition. Fine French polished top. Typical use and wear marks consistent with age and use. Refinished surface, with a French polish. Scuffs and dings in the tops surface, are typical use and wear marks.
