A Very Nice Antique Philadelphia Mahogany Sheraton Drop-Leaf Breakfast Table, Circa 1810

Chairish

$876

A Very Nice Antique Philadelphia Mahogany Sheraton Drop-Leaf Breakfast Table, Circa 1810 Most likely made in the Philadelphia area, circa 1805-1820 A super nice Sheraton table, with nicely figured mahogany woods on the leaves. Reeded and turned legs. Solid mahogany woods, with mahogany veneers. Dovetailed drawer. White Pine, and Tulip Poplar secondary woods. Appears to retain a very early historic finished surface, most likely the original finish. Retains a glass and brass knob, albeit it's not the original. Nice size for in a kitchen as a dining table in a small apartment or as a hallway table. Size: 24" wide leaves down, 41 1/2" deep, 28 3/4" tall. Each leaf is 15 1/2", opened width is approx 54". Condition: As found original historic condition, early finished surface, is most likely the original surface. The drawer is slightly "racked" as it is out of square, and thus leaves a gap on one side when slid into the table fully. Some losses to the cockbeading at the top of the table legs., and a bit of cockbeading loss on the back of the table.
