Absolutely exquisite extra large, Flamed Mahogany with Macassar ebony boarder dining table in the manner of Thomas Home with ornately carved Lion's hairy paw legs that can seat up to 12 people circa 1810-1820 The legs are attached in lots of three with a top mounted frame, this frame can be easily unscrewed using the period solid brass screws, this removes all the legs for ease of transport and installation The table top is flamed mahogany with a macassar ebony boarder which looks exquisite in the right light, the legs are thick solid hand carved mahogany in the taste of Thomas Hope as mentioned, for any fine furniture connoisseur this piece is a must have Condition wise, the table has been fully restored, my French polisher has lightly washed it back and traditionally and more importantly, sympathetically, French polished it from the ground up, the idea behind this kind of restoration is to leave all the original patination, but make it clean and ready for the new owners.
