This Nila bronze dining table by Italian designer Davide Sozzi for Promemoria was produced in Italy in 2019 and combines a sculptural bronze base with a refined lacquered tabletop. The base is constructed from a series of vertical bronze metal sheets arranged to form a central pedestal. Each panel rises from a rectangular plinth and supports the tabletop above, creating a rhythmic architectural structure. The bronze is finished with a soft brushed surface that deepens the tone of the metal while maintaining a subtle reflective quality. Above, the tabletop is formed from hardwood and finished in a pale warm grey lacquer with a satin sheen. The restrained colour contrasts gently with the darker bronze base. Along the underside edge of the top runs a bronze filet, visually linking the surface with the metal base below and reinforcing the material continuity of the design. The Nila table reflects Promemoria’s approach to contemporary Italian furniture design, combining architectural form with carefully selected materials and meticulous craftsmanship. This example was produced as a custom order and is slightly smaller than the standard production size, measuring 225 cm in width while still comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. The table remains in very good condition and was previously used as a display piece.
